What is the job?

We are seeking to hire an exceptionally talented and well-rounded client accounting services manager.

The growth potential in this position is limitless. You will be expected to build and manage a team of bookkeepers as quickly as possible. Your success in this position will depend on your ability to lead a team to get the work done. If you have the “I will just do it myself” mindset, you will not succeed in the job.

  • Assist with the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
  • Analyze financial data and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, tax laws, and regulations.
  • Prepare and file tax returns, including federal, state, and local taxes.
  • Work with auditors during the annual audit process
  • Train and mentor accounting staff
  • Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned

What you bring to the job?

  • Must have a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • Must be a CPA with a minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Quickbooks Online proficiency (QBO ProAdvisor certification is preferred)
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must have stable employment history
  • Willing to work from home
  • Willing to work from 11pm to 8am PH Time (Mon-Fri)

Accounting — you should have a solid understanding of debits and credits, and QuickBooks functionality. QBO ProAdvisor certification is preferred. You should be highly proficient in pulling reports in QBO and understanding what data needs to be captured to fully utilize QBO’s reporting capabilities. You should be well-versed in using classes, projects, and locations in QBO. Lastly, you should be comfortable with tying out all types of Balance Sheet accounts.

Payroll — you should have a solid grasp of the various components of payroll processing, from time tracking and data entry to addressing one-off issues like payroll garnishments.

Communication – This position requires clear and concise communication both internally, up and down the chain of command, and externally with clients.

Time management – There is a lot of work to get done. We understand that we are all human and require rest and recovery time away from work. To meet deadlines, you should be able to plan and execute work effectively. If we know what we can get done ahead of time, we can avoid working extended hours around deadlines.
