Our company Emerson Electric Asia Ltd. ROHQ is currently looking for candidates who are domiciled in National Capital Reg and surrounding areas with minimum criteria Not Specified and experienced in the field of Computer/Information Technology & IT-Software, as well as behave in a disciplined and honest manner, to then be placed in the position of senior software tester (for pooling) and be able to work in system.

In accordance of our HRD decision, the net salary we can offer is of ₱16,000 - ₱38,000 per month which is competitive and can be adjusted to the work capabilities that the candidate offers for our company.

Essential Job Functions

Provides technical leadership for testing activities within an Agile team to ensure quality in situations ranging from small to large, highly-complex software:

  • Creates test strategies appropriate to meet feature-level and overall product quality requirements
  • Leads the team/s in developing and executing test plans, reporting issues, resolving issues, improving test process, and providing information on product enhancements
  • Developing and providing in-depth review of test coverage plan
  • Designing complex test cases that requires knowledge on customer/industry applications including but not limited to performance test and other non-functional requirements testing
  • Identifying cross-project/domain technical dependencies and project risks
  • Investigating and researching new technologies, tools, and innovation to improve and optimize testing
  • Analyzes the quality of software based on test results in conjunction with changes introduced by new functionalities, bug fixes, and other areas of code churn
  • Working closely with business and technical stakeholders to define both feature level and system-wide quality requirements to reduce or eliminate technical ambiguities
  • Communicate to stakeholders the testing progress and be able to clearly articulate work status
  • Quality coach championing and promoting software testing standards, best practices, techniques, technology, and tools
  • Providing recommendation and guidance on test automation coverage working with DevOps for infrastructure, architecture, and framework.

Required Skills

  • Graduate of a BS Engineering course (ChE, EE, ECE, ME, Comp Sci, Comp Eng, ICE or equivalent degree) with at least 8 years of relevant experience
  • Strong software testing experience throughout the entire development life cycle (SDLC) from product inception to release and deployment
  • Experience in defining and implementing test strategies, test coverage plan, test cases that cover functional and nun functional product requirements
  • Experience in leading large and/or multiple projects and/or teams related to quality assurance
  • Experience in leading interaction with multiple stakeholders and business units
  • Experience in configuring and troubleshooting test environments, Windows operating systems, computer networks, and in writing technical reports
  • Experience in test automation by creating and executing software automation and test scripts using  tools and frameworks such as Appium, Selenium, Protractor, Coded UI, Cucumber, Gherkin, Xamarin Test Cloud, Test Flight, etc.

Having the following skills is an advantage:

  • Certifications in software testing (foundation-level or equivalent) 
  • Experience with Agile testing approaches like TDD (Test Driven Development) and BDD (Behavioral Driven Development)
  • Experience in configuring, engineering and operating Industrial Plant systems, such as DCS, PLC or SCADA, discrete and continuous controllers, HMI, bus technologies, field instrumentation, or plant reliability systems
  • Understands any or all the following process industries: hydrocarbon processing, oil and gas, pulp and paper, specialty chemicals, pharmaceutical, food and beverage or power generation
  • Good fundamental knowledge and ability to program in at least one programming language (e.g., C#, Java, Angular, JS/Typescript, etc.), and having applied them in a desktop, mobile, and/or web development projects
