Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and experienced Mid-Level Integration Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing Connectors that connect our clients use to see lineage and monitoring perspective on their data platforms .You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including software developers, project managers, and product owners, to understand integration requirements and deliver efficient and scalable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project stakeholders to gather API integration requirements, understand system functionalities, and define project scope.
• Design, develop, and test API integrations using industry best practices, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security.
• Implement RESTful APIs, utilizing technologies such as JSON, XML, and HTTP.
• Integrate with various third-party platforms via database catalogs, file systems, ftp, SDK’s, API’s and event buses.
• Perform thorough testing and debugging of integration code to identify and resolve any issues or bugs.
• Optimize API integration processes to enhance system performance and efficiency.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members, ensuring high-quality code standards are maintained.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless communication and integration with client software systems.
• Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies related to API integration and recommend improvements to enhance our systems.
• Document integration processes, API specifications, and system configurations to facilitate knowledge sharing and ensure smooth maintenance and troubleshooting.

Qualifications:

• 2-4 years of experience w/ JavaScript/Typescript/NodeJS
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or related)
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Proven experience as an API Integration Software Engineer or similar role, with a focus on mid-level complexity projects.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, or C#, with a solid understanding of object-oriented design principles.
• Extensive experience with API technologies, protocols, and formats, including RESTful, SOAP, JSON, XML, and HTTP.
• Proficient in working with API documentation, such as OpenAPI or Swagger, to develop and consume APIs.
• Familiarity with API testing tools, frameworks, and best practices.
• Experience integrating with third-party APIs and services
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and agile development practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex integration issues.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with authentication and authorization protocols, such as SSO, OAuth, OID Connect, API Keys, and/or JWT.
• Knowledge of database systems, SQL, and data modeling concepts.
• Understanding of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
